NBA Rookie of Year Malcolm Brogdon to speak at Morehouse

NBA Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon will speak at a student forum at Morehouse College on Thursday.

The event, Crown Forum After Dark, will include Brogdon’s brothers Gino and John. The forum begins at 6 p.m. at RayPac and is open to the public.

Brogdon’s mother, Dr. Jann Adams, is a professor and administrator at Morehouse.

Brogdon attended Greater Atlanta Christian Academy. He played four seasons at the University of Virginia where he was a First Team All-American and ACC Player of the Year as a senior.

The point guard was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2016 NBA Draft in the second round with the 36th overall pick.

Brogdon excelled in his rookie season as he averaged 10.2 points and 4.2 points in 75 games, 28 as a starter after taking over the spot during the season. He was named the NBA’s top rookie and First Team All-Rookie.
