The Hawks are taking the blue and lime-green uniforms out of storage.

For five games anyway.

The team will wear the throwback uniforms several times this season. The first will occur Friday when the Hawks host the Celtics.

The Hawks wore the uniforms during the 1970-72 seasons. There was also a version that was green with blue trim. They came to symbolize the career of Pete Maravich, the team’s first-round draft pick (No. 3 overall) in 1970. The franchise will retire Maravich’s No. 44 in a ceremony this season. The details of the ceremony have not been released.
