The Hawks agreed to a multi-year deal with guard Malcolm Delaney, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Delaney, who went undrafted out of Virginia Tech in 2011, has spent the past five seasons playing overseas. He most recently played for Russian team Lokomotiv Kuban for the past two seasons. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Delaney averaged 16.3 points, 5.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 31 Euroleague games last season. He was named to the All-Euroleague First Team.

Delaney, 27, has also played for France’s Elan Chalon, Ukraine’s Budivelnyk Kyiv and Germany’s Bayern Munich.

At Virginia Tech, Delaney was All-ACC First Team as a senior and junior and Third Team as a sophomore. In four seasons, he averaged 16.6 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds.

He will come to training camp with the Hawks in September.
