Hawks assign Prince to D-League

The Hawks assigned Taurean Prince to the NBA Development League on Friday. The rookie forward will play for the Long Island Nets via the flexible assignment rule.

The Long Island Nets play Friday and Saturday at the Greensboro Swarm. Both games start at 7 p.m. The Hawks will re-assess the assignment after the two games.

Prince played four games for the Long Island Nets in a D-League assignment from Dec. 29-Jan. 6. He averaged 21.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block in 29.8 minutes.
