Atlanta United will play friendly against Chattanooga FC

Atlanta United will play Chattanooga FC in a preseason match at Finley Stadium in Tennessee on Feb. 11. Kickoff is 3 p.m.

Chattanooga FC plays in the National Premier Soccer League, what was considered the fourth tier in American soccer.

It would be the first friendly played by Atlanta United.

“This is another exciting moment for our club, as our preseason tour will start in Chattanooga, signifying our first-ever official match,” Atlanta United President Darren Eales said in a statement from the team.

Tickets are available at www.chattanoogafc.com and are $15 in advance and $20 on game day.

Other friendlies Atlanta United has announced include vs. MLS sides Columbus on Feb. 18 and Seattle on Feb. 22, and vs. USL side Charleston on Feb. 25. All three games will take place in Charleston, S.C. as part of the Carolina Challenge Cup.

Atlanta United will play its first MLS game on March 5 against New York Red Bulls at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Finley Stadium will also host the U.S. men’s national team against Jamaica on Feb. 3. Kickoff is 7 p.m. It will be the U.S. men’s national team’s first time playing in Chattanooga.
