The Atlanta Track Club announced the addition of seven athletes to the Atlanta Track Club Elite’s Olympic Development Team, coached by 2008 Olympian Amy Begley and Andrew Begley.

The biggest addition is long-distance specialist Maegan Krifchin, who holds the third fastest half marathon run by an American woman in all of 2015, 1:09:51.

Twin brothers Jim and Joe Ross begin their post-collegiate careers by joining the team. Each earned All-American honors three times and have combined for four top-10 finishes at NCAA Track & Field and Cross Country Championships.

Two promising 800-meter runners will join the roster in Megan Malasarte and Patrick Peterson. Malasarte holds the University of Georgia 800-meters school record. Peterson has also qualified for the 2017 USATF Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 800 meters.

Two steeplechase specialists, Rob Mullett and Carmen Graves, join the team as well. This will be Mullett’s second Olympic team, after representing Great Britain in 2016. Graves competed at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials in 2016 and is a five-time All-American at Roanoke College.

“Atlanta Track Club is excited and proud to continue Atlanta’s Olympic legacy,” Begley said in a news release. “We want Atlanta to be ‘Running City USA’.”
