A New York fragrance company unveiled a new perfume and it’s purrfect for cat lovers.

Demeter Fragrance Library, while acknowledging that not everyone likes cats, said on its website "everyone loves Kittens!" as it announced its latest scent called Kitten Fur.

The company said it smells just like a frisky young feline.

“After 15 years of effort, Demeter has captured the olfactory essence of the warmth and comfort of that purrfect spot, just behind a kitten’s neck,” according to a statement on Demeter’s website.

The new perfume is available in a wide variety of products, from sprays and roll-ons, to shower gels and body lotions. There is even a diffuser oil. Prices range from a $3 sampler to $39.50 for the 4 oz. cologne spray.

Social media reacted to the new perfume with a wide variety of comments.

“I love kittens but I think I'd have to draw the line at kitten fur perfume,” Pam Johnson-Bennett posted on Facebook.

Afrofeed said, “'Kitten fur' perfume will bring you one step closer to becoming your cat.”

“I've never sensed a "Kitten smell" when handling them, just an overall sense of happiness,” Taryn Dale posted.
