The Bellwood Quarry may not be open to the public -- unless you're Katniss Everdeen or a zombie-fleeing refugee -- but it looks great from the sky, at least as seen in new footage taken by American Drone Industries.

The Feb. 8 video shows a drone's survey of the quarry and some of the surrounding land, including a panoramic look at the namesake 400-foot hole, which the city of Atlanta will soon convert into a reservoir during development of the city's largest park.

City officials told WABE that the centerpiece reservoir will hold more than a billion gallons of Chattahoochee River water.

"The drone was flown approximately 80 feet from the surface of the water," according to the video's description.
