Police are investigating a weekend crash that killed a woman on I-85 South in DeKalb County.

The accident happened about 4:40 a.m. Sunday near the entrance ramp at North Druid Hills Road, DeKalb police Sgt. Shiera Campbell said Monday.

According to Campbell, a 2012 Kia Sorrento hit a 2017 Nissan Altima as the Altima entered the interstate. A 33-year-old woman in the Sorrento died on the scene. It was unclear if the unidentified woman was the driver or a passenger.

No other details were released.
