A tractor-trailer hauling fruits and vegetables overturned on I-285 at Spaghetti Junction Tuesday morning, impacting the morning commute on two metro Atlanta interstates.

The crash blocked the westbound lanes of I-285 for more than two hours before it was moved to the shoulder just before 6:30 a.m. The ramp from I-85 to the Perimeter was also shut down, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

Traffic stacked up quickly through DeKalb and Gwinnett counties during the shutdown, and I-85 traffic took several hours to recover, the Traffic Center reported. Authorities worked through the morning to remove the wrecked big rig from the shoulder and its spilled cargo.

The scene was clear by lunchtime.
