The first Ferris Wheel, built for the 1863 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, was 264 ft tall.

The Great Wheel, built for the Empire of India Exhibition in London, was 308 ft tall.

The Daikanransha in Odaiba, Japan, opened in 1999 and is 377 ft.
