Police and federal agents are asking for the public’s help to locate a dangerous fugitive wanted for a fatal shooting.

Johnathan Jamal Kirkland, 24, has been charged with murder in the Dec. 30 shooting death of Amin Bouchelaghem in Atlanta, FBI officials said.

While his co-defendant Brandon Kirkland has been arrested and remains in the Fulton County Jail, the Atlanta Police/FBI Fugitive Task Force continues to look for Johnathan Kirkland, authorities said.

FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said Johnathan Kirkland is considered an armed and dangerous “individual who knows that he’s wanted and has threatened to shoot/kill any law enforcement officer who attempts to arrest him.”

Authorities said two other individuals were shot and wounded in the Dec. 30 incident.

Police also consider the fugitive a suspect in several area ATM smash-and-grab thefts, Emmett said.

Anyone with information regarding Kirkland’s whereabouts should contact the FBI Atlanta office at 404-679-9000.
