Miller posted pictures on his Twitter account that have since been retweeted more than 13,000 times and liked by 36,000 people -- because Biles herself retweeted Miller.

"A lot of social media handles reached out," Nyla's mother, Jessica Williams, said. "They were inspired that a child her age felt ... 'that could one day be me.'"

Williams, who runs Atlanta Speech Pathology, starts every day with words of encouragement and positivity for her daughter.

"Since the tweet, Nyla’s confidence has gone through the roof," Williams said.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors.
