If you are looking for that hard to findaHatchimal (ask a kid if youve never heard of it), we have some good news there are a few to be found.

But unless you are one of the first in line when they become available, the furry little creatures will set you back a pretty penny.

Panic has set in among some shoppers out to get what is one of the most popular toys this holiday season, and demand is outstripping supply in most every store.

Toys R US, which held a Hatchimal sale a couple of weeks ago and had people camping out the day before, is trying it again.Toys 'R' Usis planninga Hatchimal sale on Sunday.Doors open at 6 a.m.

Grabbing a Hatchimal online has been tough to do,too. Some stores report that the toy has sold out quickly online -- within a minute or two in some instances.

What is a Hatchimal? Hatchimals are magical creatures that come in an egg, according to Spin Master, which makes Hatchimals. Each egg contains an interactive Hatchimal. Kids will have to care for the Hatchimal until it hatches. Then, Hatchimal parents will raise the Hatchimal through three stages, from baby to toddlerto child. Hatchimals eventually learn to walk, to play games and even to dance.They can also mimic phrases.

Prices for Hatchimals run from $59.99 to $79.99 for the basic Hatchimal.At the marketplaces atAmazon,WalmartandSears, they are going for $200-$300 from third-party sellers.

There are several types of Hatchimals, including: Hatchimals Draggles Blue/Purple Egg, Hatchimals Draggles Blue/Green Egg, Hatchimals Pengualas Pink Egg, Hatchimals Pengualas Pink/Teal Egg, and Hatchimals Burtle Purple/Teal Egg.
