WATCH: Disney cruise ship rescues man who fell off Royal Caribbean liner

A passenger on a Disney cruise ship recently captured dramatic video of the rescue of a man who fell overboard from another ship.

According to NBC News, the 22-year-old passenger fell off Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas near Cozumel, Mexico, early Jan. 8 and was rescued hours later by another ship, the Disney Magic.

Disney Magic passenger David Hearn of Marietta, Georgia, captured the viral video.

"He was incredibly lucky," Hearn told ABC News. "If we had been a little bit further away, we never would have heard him screaming."

Hearn told ABC that the man was in "surprisingly good shape." The ship docked in Cozumel and transported him by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.

A Royal Caribbean spokeswoman declined to identify the passenger but said the company is "grateful for the other ship's assistance."

It wasn't clear how the man fell overboard.
