Students turn to registries to help supply dorms

First it was wedding and babies that people registered for their gift preferences.

Then it was the birthdays that got the special treatment.

Now, students, and most importantly their parents, are going online and making store wish lists to have family members and friends help outfit their perfect dream dorm room.

But is the idea of registering for gifts joyous event equal to the life changing times of weddings and children, or is it begging for gifts?
