The remains of Hurricane Harvey are still drenching parts of the Texas coast, and it may be years before full recovery is realized.

Celebrities are now stepping up to help those who have lost everything.

Katy Perry took her moment during Sunday's MTV's Video Music Awards to ask fans to donate to the Red Cross, The Houston Chronicle reported. She also posted a link to the Red Cross on her Twitter page.

But she’s not the only one.

Kevin Hart pledged to donate $25,000 to help relief and recovery efforts and he challenged his big-named friends to do the same.
