A former president’s job is never done, and President George HW Bush proved that when he played host to the soon-to-be newest members of Maine’s law enforcement community.

Police worked with the US Secret Service to bring this year's graduates of the Maine K-9 Patrol School to the president's home at Walker's Point in Kennebunkport Friday, WGME reported.

Originally, the school was only going to use the property for a photo shoot for the class photo, but when Bush found out, he decided he wanted to be part of the event.

The class is expected to graduate on June 8 from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, Maine, WGME reported.
