Apple faithful line up to buy new iPhone days before it goes on sale

If you thought Apple's iPhone has lost its luster, think again.

Some Apple fans have already started lining up to buy the company's newest phone, which will be available to take home on Friday, CNet reported.

A Bloomberg News intern posted a photo to his Twitter page Saturday with chairs lined up outside the New York flagship store after talking to people who are banking on making some money of their own as professional line sitters.

Howard Zhang said that the first person in line set up shop in Aug. 25, nearly two weeks before the phone's announcement.

The Big Apple isn't the only city that has lines for the phone. Shoppers have erected tents along Kurfuerstendamm Boulevard in Berlin, Germany.

A New Zealand business has come up with a high-tech way to wait for the long-awaited phone. It has offered the first 100 customers a robot to stand in line, the Daily Mail reported.

But there's no need to wait in line, unless you need to get the phone the moment it comes out. The device is available for preorder on Apple's website.

Like the current iPhone6, the iPhone 7 comes in two sizes, a 4.7 inch display and a plus version with nearly an inch more screen area.
