2 more arrests in south Fulton shooting death

Two more men were arrested Thursday in connection with the robbery and shooting death of a south Fulton County woman.

James Sims and James Calhoun, both 19, are being charged with murder and burglary, police said.

Investigators believe Sims and Calhoun are connected to Pamela Williams' shooting death, along with 23-year-old Jonathan Banks, who faces the same charge, Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said.

Police said Sims and Calhoun both lived in the same Amhurst subdivision where Williams lived. Lester said Banks had previously lived there, as well.

Sims and Calhoun were arrested in the subdivision Thursday afternoon and were taken to police headquarters for questioning, police said.

Police found Williams, 45, shot, beaten and unconscious inside her home in the 3000 block of Amhurst Parkway, minutes after she called 9-1-1 the night of Nov. 30, to report a home invasion.

She died days later, authorities said.

Police combed Williams’ neighborhood after her death, asking residents for any information about the incident.

And neighbors and colleagues from the Target store near Camp Creek Parkway where Williams worked raised $15,000 to put up as a reward for an arrest.

Lester said tips led to the identification and arrest of Banks on Tuesday.

Calhoun was arrested on burglary, obstruction and simple assault charges in September, just a month after his 19th birthday, according to jail records.

He was released two days later on $1,500 bond.

Sims was arrested last month on burglary, criminal property damage and loitering charges, jail records show.

He also was released two days later, but on a $10,000 bond, authorities said.

The teens will join Banks in the Fulton County Jail, where all three are being held without bond.

It is unclear whether there are more suspects, but the investigation is ongoing, Lester said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
