Work on Acworth bridge delayed to January

Due to the snow and rain over the last two weeks, Acworth city officials have announced delays in downtown renovation. Construction on the towers of the pedestrian bridge will begin in mid to late January instead of this month.

When that work begins, Lemon Street will need to be closed at the railroad crossing. The initial stage of storm drain installation has been completed. Work continues on the site for the moving and removing of dirt. The rough grade is nearing completion.
