New Sprouts Farmers Markets are set to pop up all over metro Atlanta in coming months.

The natural and organic food store recently announced it will open two new Georgia locations in the first quarter of 2017 — one in Decatur Crossing, and one in Marietta. A store is also planned to open at Tucker Meridian.

And according to a statement from Woodstock, a location will also open at the Shops at Buckhead Crossing.

The city's "only underutilized shopping center" was purchased by the Regional Planning Corporation in 2014, according to a statement made in response to news about the future store released on "social media and press outlets."

Sprouts has "been at the table" for years, though the company's policy does not confirm new openings until the quarter prior to their opening, the email said.

Woodstock Economic Development Director Brian Stockton referred to obstacles involving a former anchor tenant and the current sub tenant.

“We are excited to announce that these hurdles appear to have been crossed,” Stockton said.

The note went on to say it appears retailer Tuesday Morning has agreed to move into different space within the existing center, allowing Sprouts to move into the anchor spot.

The shopping center's redevelopment is slated to be "substantially finished" in mid-2017.

In other grocery store news, ALDI is set to open new locations in Gwinnett and in Tucker.
