Winning $500,000 Bonus ticket sold in Gwinnett earlier this year
At least $107.8 million in lottery winnings was claimed in Georgia from July to October 2016

Dec 30, 2016A winning $500,000 Bonus scratch-off was sold at Simonton Shell in Lawrenceville earlier this year. The half-a-million-dollar prize was paid Oct. 19.
The lucky ticket was one of at least 13 winning $500,000 Bonus tickets claimed in metro Atlanta from July to October, according to data from the Georgia Lottery Corp. The lottery provided data on prizes more than $600.
At least $107.8 million in winnings was claimed in Georgia during that time.
All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K program. See winning numbers at http://www.ajc.com/lottery.
