Commuters, you've been warned.

One lane on Windy Hill Road will close "indefinitely" starting Thursday to allow for more construction, according to Cobb County DOT.

The construction is expected to affect traffic heading westbound on Windy Hill Road through the interchange, particularly on the I-75 south on-ramp and I-75 north on-ramp, officials say.

Construction on the diverging diamond interchange began earlier this January.

UPDATE: The Cobb County government has released detailed plans for the Windy Hill Road diverging diamond.
