Dozens of television shows and movies film in Atlanta every year, but filmakers like northern Fulton County too.

Roswell handed out several filming permits in 2017 for movies starring Tom Cruise and Ryan Gosling, VH1 reality shows and Budweiser commercials.

Here are some highlights of what was filmed in the city in north Fulton County last year, according to a list of film permits from Roswell:

"American Made"
Starring Tom Cruise, this movie follows the story of Barry Seal, a pilot who wound up meeting Pablo Escobar and running drugs for the CIA in the 1980's. Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright, Jesse Plemons and Caleb Landry Jones also star. It hit theaters last year on Sept. 29.

"Ozark"
The AJC previously reported that this hit Netflix show starring Jason Bateman had filmed in Peachtree Corners, Braselton, Marietta, Atlanta, Canton, Woodstock and Norcross, but according to Roswell, scenes for the show were filmed there too.
