A reward is being offered to the public to aid Alpharetta police and the FBI with their investigation of a recent attempted bank robbery.

Alpharetta police recently announced that Wells Fargo bank will offer a $5,000 reward to anyone who can provide authorities with information leading to the arrest of a male suspect accused of trying to rob a branch at 5750 North Point Parkway.

The suspect, however, became nervous and could not point the gun and hold the shirt around his face. As a result, he fled the bank on foot without any money, police said.

Police and K-9 units searched the area for the suspect but could not find him. Authorities described the man as wearing jeans, a long-sleeve dark shirt, with a light-colored T-shirt covering his face.
