A road in Milton is closed on Friday due to a water main break.

The City of Milton said the stretch of Hopewell Road is closed between the roundabout at Hopewell, Cogburn and Francis roads, and Redd Road.

Fulton County contractors have begun work to repair the water main. The estimated time for completion is late afternoon. Milton public works staff are on location with the Fulton County contractors.

Approximately 70 homes are without water at this time, city officials said. Both Sunnybrook Farms and Greystone subdivisions are included among those 70 homes.

At Fox Hollow subdivision, only residents will be allowed to continue. All other cars will be turned around. At Sunnybrook Farms and Saddlesprings Drive, only residents will be allowed to continue.
