Woodstock is cleaning house. The City Council has declared surplus and authorized disposal of hundreds of items, from the furnishings of a banquet hall to office computers and former police cars.

Parks and Recreation will hold a yard sale and silent and online auctions to clear out the city-owned Magnolia Hall events venue, which is to be replaced by an office building, according to a staff report.

Surplus items include planters, Christmas bowls, serving trays, centerpieces, hurricane lamps and artificial greenery, plus large goods like a wine cooler, ice maker, claw-foot cast iron bathtub and 148 “Gold Chiavari Chairs with white removable cushions.”

Separately, obsolete desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, scanners and other technology from city offices will be disposed of via e-recycle, trash or other appropriate methods, the Council decided.

An online auction or salvage yard will get three 2008 Dodge Chargers, one 2010 Dodge Charger, a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria and a 2001 Speed Monitor trailer from the Police Department.
