Surveillance video shows two men inside Global Auto Imports in Gainesville Oct. 24, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The owner, who asked not to be identified, said the thieves spent more than 30 minutes at the dealership and one of the men even used the bathroom in the garage.

When they realized they were on camera, the thieves covered the camera with a towel, the news station reported.

The pair cased the office and took several keys before stealing a Porsche and a BMW, a total value of $21,000.

The owner said the men used a car to get away.

“They got the Porsche and the BMW and they break the gate with one car, the GMC Acadia,” he said.

Since the theft, the owner improved security, adding alarms and sensors.

“Whatever you did, you messed up your life. That’s it,” the owner said. “We’ve got your face on the camera. We’ve got your DNA also.”

Hall County investigators told Channel 2 they are looking into whether the crime is connected to similar heists recently in Gwinnett and Coweta counties.
