Funding from the Renew Atlanta infrastructure bond program has allowed the City of Atlanta to invest more than $350,000 in technology enhancements to the Loudermilk Video Integration Center.

The upgraded technology includes a new high resolution video wall. The center’s closed circuit television system can transmit video feeds from 128 different camera locations and share information with other City of Atlanta facilities, including the Joint Operation Center.

The center’s improved surveillance capabilities will also enhance emergency preparedness. It integrates about 7,500 publicly and privately owned cameras in the city, helping the Atlanta Police Department with increased coverage and situational awareness of city streets.
