A tree caused extensive damage when it fell on a home in Lilburn on Wednesday. Thunderstorms caused multiple fallen trees and three homes caught fire after being struck by lightning in Gwinnett County due to severe weather the same day.

The tree took out a wall on the home’s second floor when it fell, and multiple people were home at the time of the incident. All who were inside got out without injury.

The tree severely damaged the second floor of the home, on the 1200 block of Tred Avon Way Southwest. The family is being assisted by friends and neighbors. A tree service is removing the tree from the home.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in metro Atlanta.
