Alternating right lanes on the northbound and southbound sides of Ga. 400 in Sandy Springs are scheduled to be closed nightly this week as crews clear trees in preparation for the Transform 285/400 interchange reconstruction project.

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes on Ga. 400 between the Glenridge Connector and Hammond Drive between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly through Friday.

The work is in addition to the nightly lane closures through Thursday, announced last week, on the eastbound and westbound sides of Interstate 285 between Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Glenridge Drive. Crews will be inspecting the roadway as a preliminary to the four-year, $800 million reconstruction of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange.

Motorists are cautioned to reduce speeds in work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
