Traffic alert: Water main break closes Gwinnett street into evening

A stretch of road near downtown Norcross is closed due to a water main break, the Norcross Police Department posted on social media.

The break occurred on Holcomb Bridge Road between South Peachtree Road and Skin Alley, police said. The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources has closed the road to repair the water main break.

The road is expected to reopen around 8 p.m. If that portion of the road is part of your evening commute, you will need to take an alternate route.
