It’s a rainy day in metro Atlanta, and the weather has caused several delays and road closures in Sandy Springs on Wednesday.

Just after 10 a.m., city officials said that the intersection of Windsor Parkway and Northland Drive is closed due to flooding. Sandy Springs is asking drivers to avoid the area.

A little before 10 a.m., the city reported that down trees and wires were blocking the road on Riverside Parkway.

Earlier Wednesday morning, around 7:20 a.m., Sandy Springs reported it was experiencing flooding at the intersection of Spalding Drive and River Exchange Drive, which sits between Crooked Creek and Holcomb Bridge Road.

At 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, a downed tree was blocking Dudley Lane.

The city will continue to update its Facebook page about road closings, openings and delays.

Sandy Springs asks folks reporting flooding, downed trees and other urgent items to call 911 or their 24-7 call center at 770-730-5600. The city asks that callers please give an address for where the incident is located.
