Three people hit by car after wreck on 17th Street bridge

Three people were injured after they got out of two cars that wrecked on 17th Street Sunday night and were hit by a third vehicle.

The initial wreck happened around 7 p.m. Sunday on the 17th Street bridge over the Downtown Connector.

Two men and a woman got out of the sedan and SUV involved in the wreck, and were standing in the roadway when a third vehicle slammed into the wrecked cars, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The station reported that one man broke both legs, while a second man broke one leg and a woman suffered a fractured ankle.
