Instacart adds 51 new metro Atlanta zip codes to its delivery area.

A online service that offers same-day grocery delivery is expanding its coverage area to encompass nearly 495,000 more metro Atlanta homes.

Instacart will begin serving the 51 new zip codes Thursday.

The coverage area will now include certain parts of cities like Smyrna, Snellville, Stone Mountain, Woodstock, Hiram, Douglasville, Jonesboro, Hapeville and Peachtree City.

The operation will bring goods to your doorstep from stores like Publix, Whole Foods Market, Costco, Petco and CVS, according to a news release.

Aldi also recently announced it would be working with Instacart.

Since launching in 2014 and steadily increasing its coverage area, Instacart claims to now be available to 1.1 million metro Atlanta households.

This new expansion will cause the business to hire 100 new shoppers, the news release said.

By the way, first-time users can enter the code “HIATLANTA” until Oct. 14 at checkout to get $25 off an order of $35 or more and a waived delivery fee.
