The Suwanee City Council voted recently to amend the Harvest Farm Bylaws to eliminate the sunset provision and change membership requirements. The Harvest Farm Community Garden at White Street Park is a self-managing and community-supported garden.

The first revision to the bylaws eliminates language requiring a five-year renewal of the Harvest Farm Managing Board. Should it become necessary, the city council can formally terminate the board at any time.

The second revision recognizes the newly created Orchard at White Street Park as an affiliation of Harvest Farm Managing Board. With that change members of the ‘Friends of the Orchard’ committee as well as current plot holders in good standing at Harvest Farm may become members of the Harvest Farm Managing Board.
