Gwinnett County police have arrested a 21-year-old Duluth man in connection with an attempted robbery.

Kennedy Kurtz was arrested on Jan. 14 on one charge of criminal attempt to commit robbery.

Police sought a suspect with a face tattoo that said “333” after an attempted robbery on Dec. 16. The suspect entered a QuikTrip on Old Peachtree Road in Lawrenceville and pulled out a gun, police said. He demanded $300 but left after employees told him they did not have access to any cash.

Kurtz has a face tattoo that says “333” on his cheek, which can be seen in his mug shot. He is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.

Investigators told Channel 2 Action News that inmates made more than 10,300 phone calls in just one month.
