A street realignment project in central Roswell, originally announced in February, finally gets underway with portions of Grove Way and Bush Street closed for roughly the next 10 months to relocate utilities.

Bush will be closed from Pleasant Avenue to just past the intersection with Grove, and part of Grove will be closed from Bush to the end of the Child Development Association property, officials said. Detours are in place. Those seeking to get to the CDA, at 89 Grove Way, can use Forrest Street.

The $1.3 million project reduces a vertical curve, widens Grove Way and Bush Street and includes a sidewalk and new water line. The work will improve visibility and enable two-way traffic to the CDA, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Housing Authority of Roswell and Veranda at Groveway, a new mixed-use development.
