The Stockbridge City Council voted July 9 to approve nearly $1 million in expenditures for needed repair work on three city buildings. The bulk of the work consists of heating and air conditioning improvements.

The council approved a bid by Addison Smith Mechanical and authorized just over $865,000 for the work at City Hall, the Merle Manders Conference Center and the Municipal Court building. Two other bids from W.A.Y. Construction were approved for separate work on two levels of the Municipal Court building including sheetrock repair, painting, the additional of a wall to a partition, and the repair of damaged and missing ceiling tiles along with other renovations.
