Before Dominick Blaylock was a 5-star Marietta high schooler and No. 2 wide receiver of the 2019 class, he was a son.

But not just anyone's son. His father is former Atlanta Hawk and NBA All-Star Mookie Blaylock.

And on Sunday, the Walton High School student announced on Twitter his intentions to play at the University of Georgia, which DawgNation confirmed.

His stepfather John Woods told DawgNation that Blaylock doesn't want to be bogged down with all the hype.

“Right now he wants to focus on Walton High School and his teammates for the next two seasons. He doesn’t want all the distractions that recruiting brings with it,” Woods said.

But Blaylock is used the the attention, considering football wizard and coach Steve Spurrier offered him a scholarship when he was an eighth-grader at Dickerson Middle.

Going forward, the teen also has older twin brothers to bounce ideas off. His brothers, Daron and Zack, both played at the University of Kentucky."
