A sports bar in south Atlanta failed a recent health inspection, scoring a 66.

Ideal Sports Bar on Lakewood Avenue was given a U grade on Sept. 18.

A follow-up inspection isn’t scheduled on the report, but establishments that fail health inspections are typically re-checked within 10 days.

An inspector cited the sports bar for several violations, including employees not washing hands, raw chicken stored above canned soda, mold in the ice machine, cheese and lettuce not kept at proper temperatures, leaking faucets, and dirty gaskets and coolers.

Ideal Sports Bar was solid on its last two inspections, notching scores of 95/A and 86/B since 2015.

When reached by the AJC on Thursday, an employee said the manager was not available for comment.

This story will be updated after the re-inspection.
