Beer and wine tastings will soon be available in Snellville thanks to the City Council‘s recent vote to allow the operation of distilleries and farm wineries. The ordinance also provide for on premises sale of farm wine, beer and distilled spirits by manufacturers and wine tasting events.
The ordinance specifically defines each category: manufacturer, brewer, distillery, farm winery and farm winery tasting room along with definitions for free souvenir and free tasting. The comprehensive ordinance also outlines licensing required and excise taxes based on quantity of beverages sold as well as hours of operation for establishments selling alcoholic beverages.
