Smyrna officials are seeking comments on the conceptual plan for the Mountain Bike Park at North Cooper Lake Park.

The community meeting is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the Dogwood Room, Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle.

Progressive Bike Ramps of Joplin, Missouri has been contracted by the city to develop the plan. Smyrna will use this plan as a part of a Recreational Trails Grant application for the park to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Nearly 100 cyclists attended the first public meeting on Nov. 9 to voice their opinions on what they would like to see done to the park and trails.

The 51-acre park, 4201 Cooper Lake Road, has a community garden, open space, a mountain bike trail, a walking trail and restrooms.
