Fayette Senior Services has named a new coordinator who is recruiting volunteers for the nonprofit organization, which offers services and programs for residents over age 50.

Colleen Davison, a 2012 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, will oversee the daily senior center operations.

Volunteer opportunities include working in the fitness center, café and garden, or with Meals on Wheels, teaching classes, planning trips and other group activities. Individuals who volunteer at least 75 hours a year receive free senior center membership.

Applications are at www.fayss.org or by contacting cdavison@fayss.org or 770-461-0813. Volunteer meetings are held 2-3 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville.
