Roswell is expanding its free rides pilot program, initiated with a trolley serving the historic district downtown, to a second, separate route using a shuttle van making stops along the Chattahoochee River.

“The free Roswell River Parks Shuttle is a pilot program to help people visit multiple areas along the river without worrying about parking,” the city says in announcing the service.

The shuttle operates from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through the summer. It runs along the north bank of the Chattahoochee, following Willeo Road, Azalea Drive and Riverside Road.

The first trip leaves at 10 a.m. from Don White Park. Pick-ups and drop-offs are made (from west to east) at two locations in Riverwalk Phase IV; the Azalea Park boat docks; Riverside Park; Ace Sand Company; Don White Park, and Island Ford Shoals.
