In ongoing efforts to bring a RaceTrac to Braselton, the organization will request a conditional use permit and zoning changes to allow for construction of a convenience store/gas station at the southwest corner of the Thompson Mill Road/State Route 211 intersection. The property is currently zoned for a planned unit development and is located in the S.R. 211 Overlay District. RaceTrac is asking to remove the condition requiring buildings to be two-story or use a false two-story facade. The property owner is Fountainhead Development.

The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the request at 7 p.m. Nov. 26 at Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53. Braselton’s Mayor and Town Council will hold a public hearing on the same request at 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at the same location.
