UPDATE: PittyPat's Porch received a 97/A during a re-inspection completed Thursday.
ORIGINAL STORY: A popular Southern dining restaurant in downtown Atlanta failed a recent health inspection, according to officials.
PittyPat's Porch on Andrew Young International Boulevard scored a 51 last week after officials found flies buzzing around the restaurant.
Inspectors also noted dirt and grease buildup on multiple pieces of equipment and a fan blowing dust on the salad bar, according to the report.
The restaurant, which serves Southern specialities like gumbo and fried chicken, is across from the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.
The restaurant owner told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that all the violations were corrected over the weekend and a reinspection is scheduled for next Monday.
