More than four weeks after the crime, police in Roswell are still searching for the suspect who robbed a Roswell mother at gunpoint at her own home.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 male wearing a gray zip-up hoodie with white cotton gloves. The victim — who spoke with Channel 2 Action News on Dec. 28 — told police she never saw the suspect's face.

The incident occurred on Dec. 18 at the woman’s home on Ashley Lane.

The man knocked on the door and when she answered, he pulled a gun on her, she told Channel 2.

The man told her to be quiet, she told Channel 2. That’s when she told the man, “I have money. You want money?”

With a toddler and an infant nearby, the mother ran into another room and grabbed an envelope with $2,500 in it that her husband had set aside for a New Year’s Eve party he was planning. The man took the money and ran off, she told Channel 2.

Roswell police have a detective assigned to the case.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Roswell police at 770-640-4100.
