Police in Sandy Springs are investigating a burglary where three plasma televisions, jewelry and a 2002 black Jaguar XK8 were stolen from a woman’s home.

A police report says the incident occurred between 5 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim’s home is on Mt. Vernon Highway.

Officers responded to the scene at 2:54 p.m. that day, met with the victim and discovered that a forced entry was made through a side glass door. There was broken glass and a footprint impression that said “Championship” left on the door, police said.

Police said that the televisions were taken from three different rooms, and that several drawers had been opened and sifted through. Police said a jewelry box and all that it contained was taken from the home too. The victim could not give police an estimate on the value of the jewelry.

The keys to the Jaguar were last seen on the kitchen counter, according to the victim. Police have its tag number.

Police said it appears that the suspect was wearing gloves, based on the lack of blood near the broken glass door and a lack of fingerprint evidence.

The victim told police she had rushed out of her residence that morning and had forgotten to set the security alarm.
